8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Thoughts for Today:
A commission for the regenerated (gennao anothen) in Christ. I tend to think this means we need to go out and speak to everyone about Jesus. There is a twist in this statement made by our Lord… “You will be my witnesses” (highlight and underline in your Bible). Think about this, what is a witness? It is someone who sees something. In the Scripture, it means that I live with the intention of being in His image. Using Jesus life and ministry to guide my life and ministry with purity; to speak and live, so others see Him in me. Jesus is my foundation, and I need to witness His life so others can see my life. Okay, that was wordy, but I think you get the point.
Concept: How I live, speak, react, and witness affect all in some way. This can turn someone to Christ, the Savior, or worst, turn them against it. Many Christians, say they believe, but few indeed act like it. This we need to change. Remember, “You will be my witnesses.”
What about you?
How do people see you?
What kind of a witness are you?
What kind of a witness do you want to be?
What is inconsistent in the witness of your life?
Where is there an inconsistency between your life and your message?
Please leave comments and thoughts and prayers.
God will bless you today.
